St Louis, MO – Three-Vehicle Wreck on I-55 near Bayless Ave Leaves Two Injured

St Louis, MO (November 22, 2022) – A traffic accident was reported in the St. Louis area on Tuesday morning that left two people injured. Just after 10 a.m., on November 22, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 55.

According to reports, a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck traveled off the side of the roadway on the southbound side of Interstate 55 just south of Bayless Avenue. The vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier before returning to the roadway and striking a 2002 Honda accord. The Honda was then pushed into a 2012 Toyota tundra.

The Dodge in the Honda world had to be towed from the scene of the crash as a result of the damage.

Two people in the Honda, 61-year-old Melvean Mayo and 22-year-old Michael Monique Mayo, were injured. The victims were transported by Afton Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital South, where they were provided further treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
