Arlington Township, MO – Truck Crash on I-44 near MM 179.4 Leaves Woman Injured

Arlington Township, MO (October 11, 2022) – A woman from St. Robert, Missouri, was left injured following a truck accident that took place in Phelps County. On October 9, emergency crews were called to a crash that occurred on Interstate 44.

According to local law enforcement, at around three p.m., the driver of a 2023 Freightliner failed to observe traffic that was stopped ahead on the roadway near mile marker 179.4. As a result, the Freightliner crashed into a 2017 Toyota Prius in the rear.

The driver of the Toyota, 62-year-old Elina Makridis, was injured in the accident. She was transported by ambulance to Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla, Missouri, where she was treated for her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
