Motorcycle Accidents in Missouri
It is nearly impossible to prepare for the impacts that a vehicle collision will have on your life. Unfortunately, thousands of people are killed, and millions more are left injured as a result of vehicle collisions that take place in the United States. Here in Missouri, we see a significant number of people harmed as a result of collisions.
Some of the most common injuries that follow serious collisions that take place here in our state include:
- Spinal Cord Injuries: A spinal cord injury is when the spinal cord is damaged. This can happen if the spine is fractured or dislocated or if there is any damage to the vertebrae, ligaments, or disks. Spinal cord injuries can result in paralysis, either partial or complete.
- Broken Bones: Broken bones are one of the most common injuries from car crashes. They can occur in any part of the body but are most commonly seen in the legs, arms, and pelvis. Broken bones can lead to the loss of limbs if they are not treated properly.
- Lacerations: Lacerations are deep cuts that can occur from broken glass or metal shards. They can be very painful and often result in scarring.
People who suffer from these and other serious injuries often have to go through extensive medical treatment. Unfortunately, no treatment comes with a guarantee of a timely and full recovery. What is even worse is that the treatment can be extremely expensive. As a result, many victims do not get the care that they need. Following your accident, it is important that you reach out to a car accident lawyer in East Junction.
