Car Accidents in Missouri
Vehicle wrecks take place every single day in the state of Missouri. Quite often, these accidents leave victims with significant injuries that negatively affect their lives forever. Unfortunately, there are several reasons why accidents continue to happen.
In Missouri, the most common cause of car accidents is distracted driving. This can include anything from using a cell phone to eating or drinking while behind the wheel. Drivers who take their eyes off the road for even a few seconds are putting themselves and others at risk.
Speeding is another major cause of accidents in Missouri. Drivers who exceed the posted speed limit or are driving too fast for the conditions are more likely to lose control of their vehicle and cause an accident. Aggressive driving, such as tailgating and weaving in and out of traffic, is also a leading cause of accidents.
Drunk driving is yet another major factor in car accidents. Drivers who get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol are putting themselves and others at serious risk. Drunk drivers often have trouble judging distances, making it more likely that they will get into an accident.
