Gallatin, MO – Jay Blackburn Injured in Auto Collision on MO-6

Gallatin, MO (October 27, 2022) – A traffic collision took place in Daviess County that left one man seriously injured. Just after 4 p.m., on October 24, emergency crews were requested at the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Missouri State Route six.

According to local news sources, a 2021 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck and a 2016 Chrysler town and country were both traveling eastbound on Missouri State Route 6. As the driver of the Chrysler slowed down for traffic, the Chevrolet crashed into the rear of the vehicle. Both vehicles were significantly damaged as a result of the motor vehicle collision. The Chrysler had to be towed away from the scene due to it being totaled by the accident.

The driver of the Chrysler, 51-year-old Jay Blackburn of golds, Missouri, was seriously injured in the crash. Blackburn was transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Daviess County EMS, where he underwent emergency medical treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is in charge of the crash investigation.
