Gibson, MO – Truck Crash on MO-53 Leaves One Man Injured

Gibson, MO (October 14, 2022) – Authorities in Dunklin County responded to the scene of a truck accident that left a 22-year-old man from Piggott, Arkansas, injured. On October 13, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a rational Missouri state Route 53.

At around 3:20 a.m., a collision between a 2010 Ford Ranger and a 2017 international truck tractor-trailer took place on Missouri State Route 53, just one mile south of Gibson, Missouri. The incident left the Ford with significant damage, prompting it to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the Ford, 22-year-old Michael Salyards, was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries that he suffered in the crash.
