Kearney, MO (October 22, 2022) – A traffic collision occurred in Clay County that left a 27-year-old man injured. At around 4 p.m., on October 20, calls for assistance came in surrounding a traffic wreck on Interstate 35.
According to local law enforcement, a 2022 Ford Fusion changed lanes in front of a 2017 Subaru Outback while traveling on the northbound side of Interstate 35. As a result, the two vehicles collided. The driver of the Ford then lost control and crashed into a guardrail.
The driver of a 2007 Ford Fusion then swerved to avoid the collision and struck the guardrail.
A 27-year-old man involved in the crash, identified as 27-year-old Tyson May of Lathrop, Missouri, was injured in the crash. He was transported by Kearney EMS to Liberty Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
