La Monte Township, MO (October 15, 2022) – A man and woman were left injured following a crash that took place in Pettis County on Thursday evening. On October 13, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on US Highway 50.

Just after 7 p.m., the 2000 Ford Ranger was slowing to make a left turn at a crossover on the eastbound side of US Highway 50 just west of Carroll Road. For unknown reasons, the vehicle was rear-ended by a 2018 Dodge Charger.

The driver of the Ford, 49-year-old Richard Rodriguez, and his passenger, 42-year-old Brandi Richardson, were both injured in the crash. The two victims were transported by ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri, for emergency care.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
