Liberty, MO (October 13, 2022) – A truck accident took place in Clay County on Wednesday afternoon that left a man with serious injuries. On October 12, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Interstate 35.
At around 12:30 p.m., a 2013 Chevrolet and a 2013 Kenworth truck tractor-trailer collided on the northbound side of Interstate 35 near mile marker 16. The Chevrolet was totaled as a result of the accident.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 59-year-old Jay Einerson of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, was seriously injured in the crash. Einerson was transported to Liberty Hospital, where he underwent emergency care.
Investigations to determine the cause of this truck collision are underway.
