Lilbourn, MO (October 27, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident took place in New Madrid County that left a 53-year-old man injured on Monday evening. At around 4:25 p.m., on October 24, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to a crash on Route D.
Preliminary investigations surrounding the traffic collision show that a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck crashed into the rear of a 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche on Route D at the intersection of Phillips Street. The incident blocked the road, causing some disruptions in the area as the Missouri State Highway Patrol worked to clear the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet Avalanche, 53-year-old Tyrone Jackson of New Madrid, Missouri, was injured in the crash. Jackson was transported by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri, where he underwent treatment for the injuries he suffered.
Investigations surrounding this two-vehicle wreck are currently underway.
We hope Tyrone Jackson recovers quickly following this accident.
