Lincoln, MO (October 9, 2022) – A traffic incident involving three vehicles took place in Lincoln County, leaving three people with serious injuries. On October 7, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to a vehicle collision that took place on US Highway 61.

At around 11:15 a.m., the driver of a 1995 Mercury cougar failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2020 Kia Sorrento on the southbound side of US Highway 61 at the intersection of Creech Lane. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Debris from the accident then struck a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado at the intersection.

Three people suffered serious injuries in the crash. The victims were identified as 55-year-old Mary Maschino, 56-year-old Jeffrey Mundy, and 59-year-old Donna Mundy. Maschino was transported to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, for the treatment of serious injuries.

Lincoln County Ambulance District transported the other two victims to SSM health St. Joseph Hospital in late St. Louis, Missouri, for emergency medical care.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is conducting a crash investigation at this time.
