Lincoln, MO (October 21, 2022) – A traffic collision took place in Lincoln County that left two women injured. On October 20, at around 1:40 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic collision on US Highway 61.
According to preliminary reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2001 Ford F150 pickup truck failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck while traveling southbound on US Highway 61 at the intersection of North Lincoln Drive. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Both vehicles suffered severe damage due to the accident.
Two people were hurt as a result of the crash. EMS rendered aid to 25-year-old Shirley Paige of St. Charles, Missouri, and 29-year-old Brette Ratliff of Fremont, Iowa, at the scene. The two victims were transported by ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, for further treatment.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
