Mountain View, MO (October 8, 2022) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a crash in Shannon County that resulted in injuries. At around 10:40 a.m., on October 7, emergency crews were called to the scene of a traffic collision on Highway 60.
Reports provided by the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2001 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck and a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck collided on Highway 60 just three miles east of Mountain View, Missouri. The two trucks were totaled as a result of the crash.
The drivers of both vehicles, identified as 27-year-old Collin Alford and 28-year-old Dalton Smotherman, were injured. Alford was transported to Ozark’s Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri, for the treatment of injuries. Smotherman was transported by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, where he underwent emergency care for serious injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash at this time.
