Oak Grove, MO (October 8, 2022) – Authorities were requested to provide assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that took place on Thursday evening in Jackson County that left one 21-year-old woman injured. On October 6, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash took place on Interstate 70.
According to local news sources, at around 4:10 p.m., a 2018 Jeep and a 2012 GMC collided on Interstate 70 near mile marker 25. The GMC was moderately damaged as a result of the accident.
One person involved in the accident, identified as 21-year-old Courtney Shockley of Kansas City, Missouri, suffered injuries in the crash. The victim was transported to Centerpoint Hospital, where she was treated for her injuries.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash at this time.
