Pike, MO – Man Transported to Pike County Memorial Hospital after Wreck on US-61 near Highway D

Pike, MO (October 17, 2022) – A traffic collision took place in Pike County on Friday evening that left a 23-year-old man injured. On October 14, calls for help came in regarding a collision that occurred on US Highway 61.

At around 7:20 p.m., a rear-end collision between a 2010 Ford focus in a 1999 Chevrolet C 7500 took place on the northbound side of US Highway 61 just south of Highway D. The Ford was significantly damaged in the collision.

The driver of the Ford, 23-year-old Richard Ramirez of Whiteside, Missouri, was injured in the accident. Ramirez was transported by Pike County Memorial ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

Investigations into the crash are currently underway by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
