Reeds Spring, MO (October 19, 2022) – A traffic incident was reported in Stone County that left a man injured on Tuesday morning. At around 8:20 a.m., October 18, emergency crews were called to the site of a traffic incident on Missouri State route 13.

According to local law enforcement, a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado attempted to make a left turn in front of a 2002 GMC Savana. As a result, the two vehicles collided at the intersection with Missouri State route 248.

The GMC then continued forward and struck a 2019 Freightliner Cascadia. The Chevrolet went off the left side of the roadway and struck two road signs. Both the GMC and the Chevrolet were totaled in the accident.

The driver of the GMC, 64-year-old John Smith of Galena, Missouri, was injured in the crash. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, by EMS for further evaluation.

The circumstances surrounding this truck accident are under investigation.
