Car Accidents in Missouri
Car accidents are one of the leading causes of death and injuries in the United States. In Missouri, car accidents account for thousands of deaths and injuries each year. The most common injuries from car accidents are bone fractures, spinal cord injuries, cuts and abrasions, and severe burn injuries.
Bone fractures are one of the most common injuries from car accidents. They can occur when the body is thrown against a hard surface or when the car itself is crushed. Fractures can be very painful and may require surgery to heal properly.
Spinal cord injuries can occur when the spine is damaged in a car accident. These injuries can cause paralysis, loss of sensation, and even death. Spinal cord injuries often require lifelong care and can be very expensive to treat.
Cuts and abrasions are another common injury from car accidents. These usually occur when the impact of the accident causes glass or other debris to fly through the air and strike the victim. Cuts and abrasions can be minor or they can be life-threatening if they result in bleeding or infection.
Severe burn injuries are also common in car accidents. These burns can be caused by fire, explosions, or chemicals that are released during an accident. Severe burns can be very painful and often require extensive medical treatment.
