Springfield, MO – One Injured in Three-Vehicle Wreck on MO-266

Springfield, MO (October 8, 2022) – Authorities in Greene County were called to the scene of a traffic collision that sent a 67-year-old woman to a local hospital with injuries. On October 7, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a collision took place on Missouri State Route 266.

According to local law enforcement, at around 12 p.m., a 2009 GMC Denali crashed into the rear of a 2022 Toyota Highlander on Missouri State Route 266 near the Springfield city limits. The impact of the crash caused the Toyota to crash into a 2003 Ford F350.

The driver of the Toyota, 67-year-old Marita Thomas of Springfield, Missouri, suffered injuries in the crash. Thomas was transported to Mercy Springfield by EMS, where she underwent treatment for her injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash to determine the cause.
