Car Accidents in Missouri
In Missouri, car accidents can lead to a number of different damages. When victims are harmed in accidents due to the negligence of others, they can pursue legal action against the person who is at fault to recover compensation for the damages they face. Following your crash, you may be entitled to compensation for various costs and losses, including:
- Lost Earnings: This is probably the biggest type of damage that people recover from car accidents. When someone is injured in a car accident, they may miss out on their regular income for a period of time. This could be weeks, months, or even years, depending on the severity of the injury. In some cases, the person may never be able to return to their old job or careers. However, regardless of the outcome, the person will likely be awarded lost wages from their previous job.
- Vehicle Repair Expenses: When a car is damaged in an accident, it needs to be repaired. This can cost a lot of money, and it can take quite a while for the repairs to complete. Not only does this cost money, but it also takes away valuable time from the person who was injured in the accident.
- Medical Care Costs: Car accidents often lead to injuries that require medical care. This care can range from simple stitches to complex surgeries. In some cases, hospital bills can amount to thousands of dollars per month. Additionally, any medical treatments that are necessary after the accident may also result in expensive bills.
