St Joseph, MO – Howard Smith Injured in Two-Vehicle Wreck on US-169

St Joseph, MO (October 8, 2022) – Authorities in Andrew County were called to the scene of a traffic collision that took place on Friday afternoon, October 7.

Just after 3:45 p.m., authorities were notified that a collision between a 2010 Kia and a 2017 Ford took place on US Highway 169, just two miles north of St. Joseph, Missouri.. Preliminary reports show that both vehicles were traveling southbound on US Highway 169 when they became involved in the collision.

The driver of the Kia, 34-year-old Howard Smith of Rushville, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries as a result of the collision.

Smith was transported by Andrew County EMS to Mosaic Lifecare in St. Joseph, Missouri, where he underwent emergency care.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation at this time.
