Car Accidents in Missouri

St Louis, MO - Jane MorningStar &Ronald MorningStar Injured in Collision on MO-141 near River Valley DrEvery year, tens of thousands of crashes are reported in the state of Missouri. Many of these accidents result in injuries for those involved. In most cases, crashes are entirely preventable. Innocent people continually suffer debilitating injuries due to negligence.

Common causes of car accidents in Missouri include:

  • Driver distraction: Many drivers miss important clues while they’re looking at their phones or adjusting the radio. This can lead them to crash into another vehicle or walk into traffic without knowing it. Drivers who are texting, talking on a phone, or playing games on their devices are more likely to be involved in an accident. Distracted driving is a major contributor to car accidents and is illegal in most states.
  • Driver fatigue: Driving tired can make you less aware of your surroundings and increase your chances of getting into an accident. Fatigue can also lead to other safety issues like making poor decisions or crashing your car into another vehicle.
  • Speeding: Every road in the state of Missouri has a posted speed limit. Unfortunately, there are drivers who feel like the speed limit is not enough for them. Traveling at too high of a speed can make it difficult for drivers to maintain control of their vehicles. As a result, many accidents are caused by drivers who are traveling too fast.
