St Louis, MO – Robert Koch Injured in Crash on I-270 near W Florissant Ave

St Louis, MO (October 30, 2022) – A traffic collision took place in the St. Louis area that left one man with moderate injuries. At around 7:30 a.m., on October 29, troopers at the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a collision on Interstate 270.

Preliminary investigations show that a 2006 Chevrolet Town & Country collided with a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado on the eastbound side of Interstate 270 just west of West Florissant Avenue. The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet Silverado to go off the right side of the roadway, overturn, and come to rest near a pole. Chrysler continued and struck attenuator barrels on the side of the road. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the crash.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 64-year-old Robert Koch of St. Charles, Missouri, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Koch was transported to SSM Health Depaul Hospital by Christian Hospital EMS, where he underwent emergency treatment.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
