Vida, MO – Ella Engle, Roger Engle & Darlene Engle Injured in Auto Wreck on Highway 63

Vida, MO (October 24, 2022) – A traffic collision reported in Phelps County on Saturday morning left three people injured. At around 10:50 a.m., on October 22, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Highway 63.

According to local law enforcement, a 2017 Hyundai Tucson made an improper U-turn on Highway 63 just two miles south of Vida, Missouri. As a result, the vehicle turned into the path of a 2017 Ford Focus, causing the two vehicles to collide. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.

Three people inside the Ford suffered injuries. EMS transported 91-year-old Ella Engle, 66-year-old Roger Engle, and 61-year-old Darlene Engle to Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla, Missouri, where they underwent treatment for the injuries they suffered.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
