Car Accidents in Missouri

Windsor, MO – Two injured in Amish Buggy Crash on NE Highway Y near NE 1100 RdEvery day, innocent people across the state of Missouri are hurt as a result of traffic collisions. In many cases, people are hurt as a result of drivers who engage in acts of negligence.

One of the most common is driving while distracted. Distracted driving can include any activity that takes a driver’s attention off of the road. This can include actions such as texting or talking on the phone, eating, or changing the radio station. Even daydreaming can be a form of distracted driving.

Another common cause of car accidents in Missouri is speeding. Speeding not only increases the chances of an accident but also makes any resulting injuries more severe. Speeding also increases the amount of time it takes to stop a vehicle, which can make it difficult to avoid an accident even if the driver is paying attention to the road.

Drunk driving is another major cause of car accidents in Missouri. Drunk drivers have impaired judgment and response time, and are more likely to take risks while behind the wheel. This combination can lead to serious accidents that result in injuries or even death.

Finally, weather conditions can also play a role in causing car accidents in Missouri. Winter weather can make roads icy and slippery, making it more difficult to control a vehicle. Heavy rain can reduce visibility and make it hard to brake in time to avoid an accident.
