Franklin, MO (September 21, 2022) – A 44-year-old woman from Villa Ridge, Missouri, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri, following a motor vehicle accident in Franklin County. At approximately 5:40 p.m., on September 18, trooper J Langley with the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to a collision on Missouri State Route 100.
Reports surrounding the crash show that a 2010 Chevrolet Impala was traveling eastbound on Missouri State Route 100. At the same time, a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling westbound on the same roadway. As the vehicles passed through a red light at the intersection of Route 80, the driver of the Impala failed to stop for the red light. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Both vehicles were significantly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
MSHP and firefighters blocked the roadway while working to clear the area.
The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, 44-year-old Kristine Lindsley, was injured. Lindsley was transported by Meramec ambulance district to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri, where she underwent emergency care.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation at this time.
