Lincoln, MO – Auto Wreck with Injuries Reported on Highway W near County Rd 604

Lincoln, MO (September 24, 2022) – A man and teen were left injured as a result of a traffic incident that occurred in Lincoln County. At around 6:10 p.m., on September 21, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was summoned to a crash site on Highway W.

Preliminary reports show that the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was making a left turn onto southbound route W from north of County Road 604. As a result, the vehicle collided with a 1995 Jeep Wrangler.

The impact of the crash caused the Jeep to run off the left side of the roadway and overturn. Both vehicles were significantly damaged and had to be removed from the scene.

Two people suffered injuries as a result of the crash. Lincoln County ambulance transported 85-year-old Frank Meyer of Foley, Missouri, to Mercy Hospital in Lincoln, Missouri, where he underwent treatment for injuries. The second victim, a 17-year-old male from Elsberry, Missouri, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Lincoln, Missouri, for further care.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
