Car Accidents in Missouri
No two automobile accidents are the same. There are many different circumstances surrounding each accident. Although this may be true, we often see similar causes when it comes to motor vehicle collisions right here in the state of Missouri.
The vast majority of crashes that take place in our state are a result of driver negligence. Leading factors in motor vehicle collisions include:
Extreme fatigue: When drivers fail to get adequate sleep before entering the roadways, they can fall asleep while behind the wheel. Being too tired to operate a vehicle can lead to a lack of clear judgment in critical situations. This can result in severe accidents that cause significant injuries to others.
Rash driving actions: When motorists are competitive and unpredictable, they can cause severe accidents that end in injuries. We see many people hurt as a result of drivers who are tailgating, cutting off other vehicles on the road, weaving in and out of traffic, and engaging in other rash actions.
Speeding: Driving a vehicle at an excessive rate of speed can be hazardous to everyone sharing the road. Drivers who travel the high rates of speed are likely to miss traffic control devices, road signs, and other important details, which can lead to motor vehicle accidents taking place.
Road repairs: Construction zones here in the state of Missouri can be particularly dangerous for drivers. It is important that people remain alert and aware while operating their vehicles. When drivers are impatient or fail to notice new traffic patterns caused by construction zone congestion, they can crash into other vehicles and cause serious injuries or even death.
