St Louis, MO (September 23, 2022) – A 52-year-old woman from Imperial, Missouri, was left injured following a multi-vehicle collision in the St. Louis area. At 4:55 p.m., on September 21, emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash on Interstate 270.
Preliminary reports show that a 2017 Chevrolet traverse, a 2018 Kia Soul, a 2014 GMC Acadia, and a 2015 Kia Sorento were all traveling southbound in Lane four on Interstate 270.
As the GMC and the Kia Sorento slowed down and came to a stop just north of Missouri State Route 30, the driver of the Chevrolet failed to stop and crashed into the rear of the GMC. The GMC was then pushed into the Kia. The Kia Soul was following behind the Chevrolet and did not stop in time to avoid a collision. As a result, the Kia soul crashed into the rear of the GMC.
EMS responded to the scene and rendered aid to 52-year-old Dianne West, who was driving the GMC. West, who is from Imperial, Missouri, was transported to an unknown hospital for further care.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
Our thoughts are with Dianne West as we hope for her full recovery.
