St Louis, MO (September 22, 2022) – A traffic collision reported in the St. Louis area left two people injured. At around 4:55 p.m., on September 19, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to provide assistance at the scene of an accident on Interstate 270.
Reports from MS HP show that a 2016 Chevrolet Impala, a 2007 Honda Pilot, and a 2008 Chrysler Sebring were all traveling eastbound on Interstate 270. As the Honda and the Chrysler began to slow down due to traffic congestion, the Chevrolet, which was following too closely, was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision. As a result, these Chevrolet crashed into the rear of the Honda just west of James S McDonnell Boulevard. The impact of the crash caused the Honda to crash into the Chrysler.
Two people in the Chrysler, 23-year-old Kayla Stevenson and a three-year-old boy, were injured. The two victims were transported to SSM Health Depaul Hospital by Robertson fire protection District, where they underwent further treatment.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
Our thoughts are with Kayla Stevenson and the young child injured in this accident.
