Excelsior Springs Junction, MO (November 4, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident took place in Clay County that left one woman injured. At around 12:20 p.m., on November 2, troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash that occurred on Missouri State Route 210.

According to reports, the driver of a 2006 Saturn Ion slowed down for traffic on Missouri State Route 210 in the area near Route N. A 2013 Toyota Prius then crashed into the rear of the Saturn, leaving both vehicles with significant damage.

The driver of the Saturn, 48-year-old Angela Smith of Richmond, Missouri, suffered injuries in the accident. Smith was transported to North Kansas City Hospital, where she underwent emergency treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol at this time.
