Joplin, MO - Joyce Cooper Injured in Accident on Apple Rd
Joplin, MO (November 13, 2020) - A woman from Carthage sustained injuries during a three-car pile-up on Wednesday, November 11th in Jasper County.
Local law enforcement officers responded to the scene of the accident, which took place at the intersection of County Road 180 and Apple Road at about 7:40 a.m.
A car driven by 62-year-old Joyce Cooper was heading westbound when it collided with a southbound pick-up truck whose 16-year-old driver failed to yield the right-of-way. The force of the impact forced Cooper's car across the centerline where it struck an oncoming car before leaving the roadway.
Cooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the collision and was transported to Freeman Hospital West for medical treatment.
