Platte Co, MO - Arianna Shupert Killed in Crash on I-29
Platte Co, MO (November 16, 2020) - A five-car pile-up in the southbound lanes on Interstate 29 caused the death of one person on Friday, November 13th.
Police reports state that, at about 8:30 p.m., a chain-reaction collision occurred when vehicles were attempting to slow down for traffic caused by a separate accident. A tractor-trailer slammed into the back of a 2020 Mini Cooper, which in turn crashed into the back of a 2016 Jeep Wrangler. The Wrangler collided with the rear-end of a 2020 Tesla Model Y which then ran into the back of a 2009 Cadillac Coach.
Arianna Shupert, the 31-year-old driver of the Mini Cooper, was transported to Mosaic Life Care Hospital where she died the following morning.
The report neglected to mention whether anyone else involved in the accident sustained any injuries.
