Lafayette Co, MO (October 27, 2020) – A three-vehicle collision took place on Monday, October 26th in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 left one teenager critically injured.
According to police reports, at about 6:45 p.m., a chain reaction collision occurred when a 2008 Ford crashed into the back of a 2004 Dodge that was stopped in traffic and then ran off the road. The force of the impact caused the Dodge to crash into the rear of the 1996 Ford that was stopped directly in front of it.
The driver of the Ford, a 19-year-old male from Independence, was transported by Higginsville EMS to Centerpoint Medical Center for emergency treatment of injuries classified as critical.
No update has been released on the condition of anyone else involved in the accident.
