Sedalia, MO - Two Injured in Hit-and-Run at Skyline Elementary
Sedalia, MO (October 24, 2020) - A hit-and-run accident that took place in Sedalia resulted in injuries to a student and a crossing guard on Friday, October 23rd.
A report from the school district indicates that the accident occurred at Skyline Elementary School at about 3:30 p.m. when a 2005 Cadillac Deville driven by 35-year-old Martez J. Troy, a resident of Sedalia, neglected to stop at the school crosswalk and hit a 10-year-old boy and a 67-year-old female crossing guard who were both in the intersection. The Cadillac then fled the scene of the accident.
Both having sustained injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening, the crossing guard was transported via ambulance to Bothwell Regional Hospital and the child’s family sought independent medical treatment.
This accident is still under investigation by local law enforcement.
