Kansas City, MO – One Person Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on US-40
Kansas City, MO (September 24, 2020) – An automobile accident reported in the Kansas City area claimed one person’s life and left several others injured. Just after 3:20 p.m., on September 24, the Kansas City Police responded to the scene of an auto accident on US 40 Highway.
Reports show that a silver sedan, a black SUV, and a brown and tan pickup truck collided on US 40 Highway near the intersection with South Brentwood Avenue.
The crash caused severe damage to the front end of both the SUV and the pickup truck. The sedan sustained extensive rear-end damage as a result of the crash.
Authorities confirmed that one person, the driver of the truck, was fatally injured in the accident. Crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the accident.
Three other victims, including two adults in the SUV and one adult in the sedan, were seriously injured. All three victims were rushed to area hospitals for treatment of injuries. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation.
