Kansas City, MO – Road Crews Struck by Vehicle on NE Cookingham Dr (Rte 291)
Kansas City, MO (September 27, 2020) – A road crew worker was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Friday evening in the Kansas City area. At approximately 7:30 p.m., on September 25, the Kansas City Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Northeast Cookingham Drive.
According to reports, a team of road workers was working on a paving project on Northeast Cookingham Drive near the intersection with Stark Avenue when three of them were struck by a vehicle.
All three workers were injured in the accident, one critically. The three workers were rushed to area hospitals where they underwent emergency medical services. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
