Neosho, MO – Woman Injured in Car Crash on Highway 86
Neosho, MO (November 4, 2021) – An auto accident reported in Newton County ended in injuries, according to local law enforcement. At around 10:10 a.m., on November 4, emergency crews were notified that an auto accident took place on Highway 86.
Reports from local authorities show that a collision between a 1997 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck was traveling on Highway 86 just six miles east of Neosho. The driver of the vehicle, 74-year-old John Laughlin, failed to yield the right of way to a 1999 Ford F-350. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 23-year-old Kayla Young, was injured in the accident. Young was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville for care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
