Granby, MO – Luis Vargas Hurt in Truck Crash on US-60
Granby, MO (October 1, 2021) – A semi-truck crash reported in Newton County on Thursday afternoon left one man injured. At around 2:35 p.m., on September 30, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash took place on US Highway 60.
Reports from authorities show that 47-year-old Luis Vargas was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro on US Highway 60 when his vehicle collided with a 2020 Freightliner just five miles east of Granby.
Vargas sustained injuries in the accident. He was transported via Newton County Ambulance to Freeman West in Joplin, Missouri for medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
