Macon, MO – Truck Crash on US-36 Leaves Kyle Hall & Child Injured

Macon, MO (September 23, 2022) – A crash involving a semi-truck tractor-trailer in Macon County sent one man and a young child to local hospitals with injuries. At 5:40 p.m., on September 20, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision that was reported on US Highway 36.

Reports provided by trooper Primm show that a rear-end collision between a 2007 Chevrolet Impala and a 2008 Freightliner occurred on US Highway 36, just two miles east of Macon, Missouri. The Chevrolet was totaled as a result of the crash.

The Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Macon County Rural Fire, Macon County Rescue Squad, and the Macon County EMS all responded to assist at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 33-year-old Kyle Hall, and his 2-year-old male passenger, were both injured. Hall was flown by Missouri University One to the University of Missouri Hospital, for the treatment of serious injuries. The young child was transported by Macon County EMS to Samaritan Hospital, where he was provided treatment.

Missouri State Highway Patrol and the incident remains under investigation by authorities in Macon County.
